Direct services to Denpasar come mainly from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, with carriers such as Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia. Dubai and Doha also fly direct and act as hubs for the rest of the world.
Many direct services offer priority boarding and kids’ meals; a private jet from Australia is the most exclusive option.

Ubud has no airport: international flights land at DPS, or you can fly to Jakarta and connect domestically to Denpasar.

What to weigh before you buy the ticket.
Direct flights come mainly from Asia and Australia, including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. From Europe or the Americas they are rare, so expect at least one connection.
Six to nine months ahead, especially for the dry season (April to October) and December holidays. Last-minute fares at busy times cost more.
Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Emirates are often recommended, with priority boarding, kids’ meals and children’s entertainment. Check each airline’s offer when you book.
