Bali flight specials: seasonal and last-minute

Fares to Bali rise and fall with the seasons. Learn when specials appear, when to book early and when a late deal is realistic.

Bali flight specials come from seasonal shifts in demand and airline promotions. Last-minute deals are possible outside peak periods, while off-season fares in the wet season give the most consistent value for budget-minded travellers.

How Bali specials work

Bali fares shift with global events, airline capacity and seasonal demand. The best US fares for October usually need booking months ahead, using early-bird promotions before prices climb.

The dry season, April to September, is pricier. The wet season, October to March, brings more off-season deals. To fly in June, book as early as November or December 2026.

Last-minute deals

Late seats do appear, even in December’s wedding season, when airlines need to fill flights. They are unpredictable and need flexible dates and airlines. Late London returns via Singapore may mean longer layovers or awkward times.

Family extras and private jet charters are booked well ahead, not found at the last minute.

Connections and routes

Most international travellers connect through a major hub, and direct schedules from Asia matter for regional flyers. A Jakarta stopover can add a second destination without much extra cost; check stopover rules and visas first.

Ubud has no airport. All international flights land at Ngurah Rai in Denpasar, and transfers to Ubud are easy to pre-book.

Groups and special needs

Your needs shape the search as much as the season does.

  • Business class for Ubud retreats costs more but adds comfort
  • Groups of ten or more can negotiate better per-person rates
  • More airlines now offer carbon-offset schemes
  • Free-cancellation fares are likely to stay common in 2027

Budget beyond the fare

Allow around USD 150 a day on the island for local transport, food and activities, before hotels. That covers comfortable exploring.
